NJ: Public Defenders Office seeks to join lawsuit to end sex offender registration for Juveniles

The state’s Public Defender’s office is hoping to join a federal lawsuit that is seeking to eliminate Megan’s Law registration for all juvenile sex offenders in New Jersey, Extensive research has shown that recidivism rates for juvenile sexual offenders are extremely low and putting them on a registry may actually have little effect on public safety while causing severe psychological harm to the juveniles themselves, according to the lawsuits.

The mere fact that any juvenile can be placed on the registration, simply shows WTH is wrong with humans in this world.

Did anyone notice the blatant idiots in the comments on that article? They’d be humming a different tune if it were their kid or sibling.
People are so far gone that I don’t believe any “education” about sex offenses will change them.

You are exactly right Maestro….in my layman terms, “you just can’t fix stupid”. Though many probably aren’t really “stupid” probably should be saying IGNORANT which is rampant in this country on so many different levels..

Although it is a start, why does ANYONE have to be on a list? We already have charges of our arrest and the time we served on our records for life.
What started as a so called Law enforcement tool has turned into a family wrecker, putting people’s lives in danger.
