No Education for Florida Registrant

A Florida man who spent years in prison is trying to turn his life around in order to support his four children.

He’s been offense free in the community for four years and wants to enroll at the Washington-Holmes Technical School, so that he can become a cosmetologist and cut hair.  Seems like a step in a positive direction, right?

Only problem; he’s a registered sex offender and the Technical School denied him admission on that basis.

The story, as reported on Panama City NBC affiliate, WJHG, begins, “Those lifetime sex offender and sexual predator labels are hard to overcome.” … like that’s news to anyone!!!
