Online Advocacy Training from Florida Campaign for Criminal Justice Reform

Next year’s legislative session is only a few months away, and it’s time – right now – to start advocating in our communities for positive criminal justice reform that makes a real impact for our families, friends and neighbors. Join us for a series of online advocacy trainings to get ready to make your voice heard during the 2020 Legislative Session.

Florida sends 30,000 people to prison every year and there are nearly 100,000 people in Florida prisons — the third largest state prison population in the United States. It’s past time we ended Florida’s reliance on mass incarceration and build a movement around true criminal justice reform!

During this training, you will learn:

  • How to find your state legislators
  • How to schedule and host meetings with your legislators
  • How to proactively engage with and educate your community about positive reform
  • How to attend and make your voice heard at town hall meetings

I signed up for the Monday online training from 3:00-4:30. I have not received the webinar details yet. I am assuming that I will receive them before 1:00 tomorrow. If that is the case, then no one needs to reply to my comment. Thank you.

In all honesty, once people discover you are a registrant, you have lost your voice and any influence you may have had. Therefore, I encourage our loved ones and friends to take up the cause.
