Operation Not a Fan
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement recently announced arrests as part of “Operation Not a Fan” for registrants who allegedly failed to report internet accounts (specifically OnlyFans) and other required registration updates. Remember that under Florida law, registrants are required to declare and update any “internet identifiers” (usernames, account names, online handles) within 48 hours.
FDLE is now collaborating with service providers to trace unreported accounts, and they’re actively investigating registration violations. Failure to register or update identifiers can lead to serious legal consequences, so stay in compliance, report all internet identifiers promptly and keep registration information up to date.

How is someone reporting an OnlyFans account protecting the public?
How is OnlyFans a social media site???
The Draconian laws in the judgmental State of Florida are why my roommate and I moved to another state. Both of us wanted to retire in the Keys, and we lived there for three years after retiring, but an illness necessitated a rehabilitation stay that was prevented by the Draconian SORR. Home Health Care was cost-prohibited and not covered by Medicare. We moved to a state that did not legislate such discrimination against sex offenders.
Our dreams of retiring on the Florida Keys have been crushed by hypocrites!
I typically give them almost any online accounts (Ebay, Paypal, Amazon, etc) but no idea which ones we are actually required to give. Of course FB, Reddit, Instagram, but what about say Eufy Camera online accounts, online doctor’s office accounts, etc. I can send messages to the nurse or admin people at the doctor’s office. The laws are so vague its impossible to follow the rules.
I was the one that was posted as being at the school. They still tied me in as having an unregistered onlyfans account in how it is worded in the description. I was unaware of the law about notifying the school board. I was not loitering or prowling but was there for my son’s open house. I had gone to this event multiple times and never was warned. The sheriffs deputy has harassed my son every day since he made the report and wanted to perp walk me in front of the school and my son.

Confused: its says : A username need not be registered based only on [1] a communication whose primary purpose is to facilitate a commercial transaction involving goods or services,
How is that a violation?
I’m guessing FDLE will argue that because OnlyFans users can create profile pages, if they then use the account to engage in direct person-to-person communication, that qualifies as an “internet identifier” requiring registration that goes beyond using the site for purchasing services.
However, if the person has an OnlyFans account that was only used to “browse content” and never used any functionality to directly communicate with another person, then that would not require registration under the Federal court construction of the definition of the term. (I’m not a lawyer, this is just my best guess at their argument.)
