Palm Beach County Clerk of Court suspended, arrested on child sex abuse charges

FAC NOTE: FAC is not publishing this report to shame, harass, or prejudge the alleged offender. The purpose is to make an important point: people who commit sexual harm can come from every walk of life—including people who hold positions of political or governmental authority.

Palm Beach County Clerk of Court Michael Caruso was arrested Tuesday morning and immediately suspended from office by Governor Ron DeSantis on five felony child sex abuse charges.

According to the arrest warrant and affidavit filed in Orange County Circuit Court, Caruso, 67, faces charges of kidnapping, lewd or lascivious molestation, lewd or lascivious exhibition, luring or enticing a child, and child abuse causing mental injury.

I was drinking a cup of coffee and was going to send FAC this link. Someone beat me to it.

My point is how did Registry prevent this from happening? For the sake of argument. I don’t care if he did it or not!

There has been reports from Law enforcement to doctors and as well as teachers. Those people in high Authority being charge, sentence and convicted! But yet the Registry did nothing to protect the alleged victim(s) The Registry has done nothing but destroyed families and other people’s lives I was convicted myself and I will likely get negative feedback here.

If a person can’t control their behavior, then they should be confined. like that guy in Lunsford case the state knew what his issues were. Now the rest of us who had underage girlfriends and ex-girlfriends lie on us is a different matter. The point I am making one the registry doesn’t work and two instead of everyone being punished for someone else crime. This could have been prevented before it happen!

First Bobert’s kid, now another one that grandstanded for “tough of pedos” legislation. The arrogance of thinking “that will never happen to me” is exactly why they’re being exposed for their hypocrisy. I love it when they fall of their own swords they spent their entire careers sharpening.

    Mike was a state representative.

Judging from some of the comments here, members who worked directly with Mike may have found him to be pragmatic. But I can’t help noticing that he voted yes on bills that we opposed.

These are very serious charges, and he may be getting a taste of his own medicine.

I find it interesting that as big as this topic is in FLA, this person and others wouldn’t dare attempt anything like it due to the ramifications of it that have been broadcast by all from the guvnah on down to private citizens. Is the message getting through (as people say needs to be said repeatedly) or does the message even matter given the thinking people have about being bigger than it?

Something I think is important to point out from my own experience is that anyone can be falsely accused of committing a sex crime in our legal system. Notice I do not call it a justice system. Once the arrest is made, the damage is done regardless of actual guilt or innocence, particularly in the “information age.” One can be given a not-guilty verdict or even a judgment of acquittal, but the arrest is always there and so are the headlines. How do I know? Because the feds prosecuted me on false evidence, which I can prove, but the courts refuse to hear it. It’s politics. I am not saying the Palm Beach County Clerk of Court is guilty or innocent. I have not seen any evidence one way or the other. I do know that people get released from prison or their convictions are vacated over and over again in our country, usually after having served decades in custody, because DNA or other evidence eventually vindicates the accused. Be careful to not rush to judgment.

Very correct! Have to be proven guilty out system not the other counties who make you prove your way out of guilt

I agree. Do not rush to make a judgement. Michael Caruso has done much good in his life.

As you shouldn’t call it is a justice system as it is subjective to all parties whether it is served or not when a legal system is in place at all times (right, wrong, or indifferent in the end of how it is adjudicated).

Unfortunately, the press loves an arrest but rarely report if someone is found not guilty unless its a big celebrity trial.

Exactly! Do not fall into the same trap to which weak-minds are subject concerning this satanic unconstitutional punishment called the registry.

We know law enforcement applies every possible accusation in every case. Exaggeration is the norm. So it’s not yet public knowledge what truly did or didn’t happen.

Cops even lie making accusations. The warrant for our son’s arrest in June in the big hateful sweep was drafted by a detective who was no longer uniform because he shot and KILLED A KID who was RUNNING AWAY FROM him.

More than once, this detective, Terrence Blackmon, stated in the warrant that our son “KNOWINGLY” failed to register his dad’s plate change and then went on to say his dad’s vehicle has been seen by the unconstitutional flock cameras on certain roads. No duh. My husband drives his vehicle on those roads.🤦🏼‍♀️

There was no investigation into what happened, no inquiry about the plate change. No one came to ask us anything. They go straight to the abhorrent “getcha”. The notch on the belt. The budget builder. The profit stream for the corporations making millions of dollars is what they serve.

Buddhism teaches to not judge at all. Same thing was left in the highly edited KJ VERSION. Judgement is massively toxic and damaging to the soul of the person who judges. Just don’t do it.
