The partnership between OffenderWatch and Zandoli USA can enhance the effectiveness of the US International Megan’s Law to End Child Sex Trafficking (HR 515) by implementing similar policies and collaborating registries in partner countries.

Whomever represents OffenderWatch in Tally, seems we ought to be keeping tabs on them and monitoring their statements. But I don’t know much about state lobbying or how you typically go about identifying this information.

OffenderWatch is the registry database provider for I don’t know how many Florida counties. One way they market themselves is by promoting awards to sheriff employees that use their product to monitor registrants.
Non profits make a LOT of money, tax free. Every knows that it’s not convicted sex offenders doing the trafficking, DUH lol.
This is just the classic greedy control freak methodology of “It’s for the kids” so everyone will shut up and blindly give them power and money. Using unconstitutional laws based off of isolated incidences such as Megan. They feed off of the evil of a few bad apples in order to profit and satisfy their need to control others and feel powerful.
The canary in the coal mine is exactly right, Hitler registered and arrested effeminate homosexuals first because he knew no one cared about them and he could get his foot in the door that way.

The statute referred to by FAC is extraordinarily confusing. My heart goes out to all registrants that try to comply with this confusing law. I believe this could bring up the issue that it is unconstitutionally vague. My sense is, these people write these to harass and annoy sex offenders so they can force them out of their own neighborhoods no matter how long the offender has lived there.
All Americans must stand up against these laws. Sex offenders are the canary in the cage. Now they have child abuse registries, drunk driver registries (here in Michigan), animal abuse registries and the list goes on. Sooner or later all Americans will be on a registry and required to wear a GPS or have a chip implanted.
It may not be a threat to someone my age, but I fear for my children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Our only hope is to make the effects of these laws known to all Americans. Unfortunately, the mainstream media only dishes out hype and feeds off of panic. I’m not on the registry but I will try to make the trip to Denver to show my support on September 24th. Even if sex offenders don’t appreciate my efforts, I will do it for my own grandchildren’s future. I don’t understand why these protests usually don’t attract any more than 5 or 6 people. Sex offenders are drowning in their own apathy. In the few years I have tried to help, I have learned that 99% of all sex offenders are long on complaints and short on action.
Detroit you nailed it! I left and went out of country for exactly that reason. I am not afraid to stand and fight the evil, and I fought it for many years. I refuse to be a martyr for over one million other people that wont even stand up for themselves. The reason they are abused is because they are easy targets to be abused.. Every excuse in the book to not stand up for themselves. Always putting faith in someone else to do something or some corrupt politician , dirty lawyer, or crooked judge to get a temporary case of honesty. Then they whine when it doesnt happen.. If they only stood up and said enough it would be over. But have fun with that happening.

Our faces are plastered all over the internet along with our home addresses and all kinds of personal information much of which is wrongly misconstrued and exaggerated . Plus the public has a warped view of who we are. This puts us and all we are trying to protect in grave danger. All anyone needs to do is see our face in a public setting speaking out against the registry and immediately they will not listen to anything we say or do but will turn to condemning us and our protests as proof of there image of how warped we are. Is it worth it to cause such pain to our families and friends?

Florida Statutes Sec. 943.0435(7) I have emphasized the language in bold below.
“(7) A sexual offender who intends to establish a permanent, temporary, or transient residence in another state or jurisdiction other than the State of Florida shall report in person to the sheriff of the county of current residence within 48 hours before the date he or she intends to leave this state to establish residence in another state or jurisdiction or at least 21 days before the date he or she intends to travel if the intended residence of 5 days or more is outside of the United States. Any travel that is not known by the sexual offender 21 days before the departure date must be reported in person to the sheriff’s office as soon as possible before departure. The sexual offender shall provide to the sheriff the address, municipality, county, state, and country of intended residence. For international travel, the sexual offender shall also provide travel information, including, but not limited to, expected departure and return dates, flight number, airport of departure, cruise port of departure, or any other means of intended travel. The sheriff shall promptly provide to the department the information received from the sexual offender. The department shall notify the statewide law enforcement agency, or a comparable agency, in the intended state, jurisdiction, or country of residence of the sexual offender’s intended residence. The failure of a sexual offender to provide his or her intended place of residence is punishable as provided in subsection (9).”
so why are they demanding itinerary for domestic? seems like they can only ask for it for international.

What does it matter HOW the international traveler gets to NY for his international flight, I think was the question that prompted this. I can’t tell whether the registration office read that into the statute, or they’re just being nosy.
it question was why am i being forces to provide an itenerary for DOMESTIC travel. this is something new thats just happened at the vcso. i travel to ny every week or two. never had this before. now they tell me its the fdle cracking down but not telling me on what.
odd thing just happened to me: was registering travel (at the vcso)to nyc as i do twice a month and was asked a slurry of new questions. i am not on any type of supervision etc at all. i am just going for 4 days and have been doing this for years: now i get hit with something called travel papers. had to now give info on how i was getting there and need to come in to report any changes. this was supposedly done to prevent me from getting atrested on my way to ny. for the 5 years ive been on this thing this is the first time thats happened. if i read the law correctly i only have to be that detailed on international travel. why would i get arrested for my travel time? was asked what time of day id start driving what route and when id get there. i was considering flying but now id have to go back and tell them if i do: is this new?

thats what i was wondering. it didnt seem right but she was insistent that FDLE is requiring this. i said this is new to me as im not on any sanction or supervision. her response was it shouldnt be. i didnt think it mattered how i got there to nyc. now this odd paperwork and some pass thing. why would i even get arrested for travelling?
Dear JM, you can file a complaint to FDLE and to the US Dept of Justice against the Volusia County Sherrif and his staff for violating the law. There is no such requirements for you. They are depriving you of your due process rights. Thats enough for a formal complaint.

JM, they are extracting more information from you than the law requires. Be very wary whenever someone from a government entity says something is for your safety. The word safety has been given new meaning under a less used word…control. i say lawyer up if you can. Or reach out to the legal committee of FAC.

Some counties interpret the statute different than what is written.
In sum, you can travel anywhere in the United States or its territories (no passport needed) for any amount of time provided that you don’t stay at any one address for more than 2 days without notifying your local law enforcement. Your mode of travel is irrelevant.
What may be important is your destinations regarding the length of your stay. Some states don’t care up to a 30 day stay within the State, others are far less.
Read up, educate yourself. This is your best defense against being taken advantage of.
They actually have sex offender registries in Caribbean countries? I thought sex offender registries are an English-speaking country thing, and it’s only public in the US. Would they even be able to afford a registry in most Caribbean countries?
My wife is a judge in a foreign island country. I am speaking from facts. America pays the politicians bribes to support the American registry scams and schemes and it gives tons of freebies to tyrants and regimes. America has dirty money all over the world. Many of the justice systems get free computers,vacations, bonuses and other wonderful perks titled “USAIDE” to support the American governments corrupted scams. Also why does America choose to ignore corruption and crimes against humanity by many of these country’s? It is a trade off for allowing American government to do dirt there. The American government has committed more crimes then everyone in this group combined has ever even been accused of.

I really hate being right so often sometimes! I warned everyone when they started with the international harassment of registry victims that the time to fight it was when it was still fresh and possible to destroy. EVERY meeting I went to and every organization I spoke with said the same thing : ” Oh it wont be a big deal, and we are to busy fighting on the local level to bother with it” … AND LOOSING on the local level because the local level is too deeply entrenched. NOW you are also loosing on the international level and it will only keep getting worse because YOU allowed for it to become dug in. NOW guess what? Not only is the local,state and national levels entrenched, dug in and getting worse by the day BUT now you will have no place to escape and no way to escape when you finally understand your life is over in America and they are coming for you and your family’s blood next. And it is coming.

ACSOL fought IML in the courts when it was fresh. Too fresh, because the court ruled that the challenge wasn’t ripe. Since then, the Registrant Travel Action Group has joined the fight, with FAC and other NARSOL affiliates disseminating new information as it materializes.

I remember what they did, they shot every future case in the foot..Do you know why the registry is what it is and so hard to tear down? A foolish lackluster effort using Alaska which flopped and is now the football punt for every other loss.”We already decided on this in Alaska so wont hear it again” chuckle chuckle.. I also remember why it failed and why it made every other effort almost impossible. They spent minimal funds and did a lack luster effort that didn’t include any of the people affected. I remember speaking with them, and warning them and being told they didn’t feel it was a big deal ..Hmm..let me see if I can correctly remember the wording: ” We understand it could potentially in the future affect a small amount of registrants, and because the amount will be small our best efforts and resources need to be allocated at cases closer to home.” That was pretty much the wording. Efforts that are not bearing any positive fruit and every time their is a victory it gets over turned into a larger defeat. So now not only has all hope been exhausted at home but escaping the New Nazi empire by starting over in anouther country is getting closed as well. I can’t tell if you’re still talking about International Megan’s Law or have reverted to Smith v. Doe (S. Ct. 2003).
I was drawing a comparison. There were many legitimate cases that could have been brought forward that would have succeeded in creating a rational discourse and possibly created an honest verdict.Smith v Doe case was not one of them, it was horrible.It should have never been pandered. By putting forward a weak case rather then investing the time and energy in a solid argument any hope of succor for people on the registry was shot in head. It gave the Supreme Court toilet the perfect excuse to hide behind so they dont have to admit the truth. Then by doing the exact same thing with a weak half witted case challenging The International Megan’s law anyone on the registry will have again been shot in the foot and the supreme court will again hide behind the ruling on the weak case that was brought forward challenging it. This is a war and it can not be won with stupid actions. Every time a weak waste of time case is pushed forward instead of doing due diligence and putting together a sound argument it is decades of losses … Time must be taken and every case pushed forward has to be so rock solid that it is impossible to contest. They will still contest it, so it has to be able to with stand. Understand the justice system is a corrupt sewer and doing the right thing is the last thing they want to do.
This is just speculation, but could this be a collusion to hand small victories at the lower levels so that the states can draw out the litigation process where it will be ultimately be won in their favor in the higher courts? The ultimate goal here being to sap litigants resources to the point where they can no longer challenge these laws, paving the way for more heinious legislation to come later?
The state has seemingly unlimited resources to fight while I hear again and again how individuals have been wiped out trying to defend their liberties. Is there any way to even the playing field in the courts?

I live in the state of Iowa, I am an ex-Floridian. I am fairly ignorant when it comes to the topic of sex trafficking especially on the global level.
I’m curious, if anybody has the statistics, on how many US registrants have been convicted of sex trafficking nationally and internationally.
This category of offender must be the most common type of offense of all sexual crimes… And the offense must obviously supersede the national 5% average Of recidivism.
It’s possible that the article implies that no matter what offense you are convicted of, if you were to reoffend the most common conviction would be sex trafficking. I’m not sure I’m buying that.
My hunch is they are using the fear globally to create a perceived need. And of course the overall objective is to make money…
