Putnam County Challenge Coming

We have posted this before, but if you are interested in being a Plaintiff in the Putnam County lawsuit, now is the time to step up!

The Florida Action Committee is organizing a lawsuit to challenge the recently enacted Putnam County Sex Offender Ordinance.

If you are impacted by the ordinance, whether you currently live in Putnam (you don’t have to currently live in Putnam), are considering or have ever previously considered moving to Putnam, have been denied an address in Putnam, have family in Putnam, or otherwise would be subject to this ordinance and would consider being named as one of the plaintiffs in this lawsuit, please contact [email protected] NOW with your full name, telephone number, and a brief description of how the Putnam Ordinance affects you.

    Honestly they know all they are doing is controlling those on the registry and it is not preventing any offenses there or anywhere else.

    Will this be filed in the US Middle District of Florida? Also, is being a named plaintiff required or will this proceed with us listed as Jane/John Doe?

      Likely yes, and the plaintiffs would need to be named if the Court does not allow them to proceed under a pseudonym.

      What about union county? Some individuals can’t legally leave their house.
