RSOs and International Travel
The US House of Representatives recently passed a bill that could become law. This bill, referred to as the “International Megan’s Law” will severely impede the ability of registrants to travel internationally.
RSOL put out a Position Paper on the issue which raises several valid and important points. It also illustrates how difficult it will become for registrants to travel.
It is also a reminder of how innocent actions, such as traveling to visit a relative, can be criminalized if you don’t “check out and check in” with the government.
