Sen. Lauren Book wants to create “Soliciting for Prostitution Registry”
Florida State Senator Lauren Book, introduced Senate Bill 540 last week. Included in her bill is the establishment of a “Soliciting for Prostitution Registry”.
Her bill also wants every law enforcement officer to be trained in investigating human trafficking and, “The training must be developed in consultation with the Department of Children and Families.” DCF is the same agency she, only weeks ago, said could not be trusted to care for the welfare of children.

Now this is actually something I can agree with her on. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander. Yeah, if we have to be on a registry, then why shouldn’t anyone else??
Bring on another registry! Convicted child and animal abusers should also be on a registry. Convicted theives and corrupt politicians should have one. Murders and drunken drivers should have one! Then we’ll all see the systems crash either by financial overload or case law saying all this is unconstitutional.
What exactly is the reasoning behind this? Isn’t soliciting prostitutes already on publicly accessible criminal records (for the 4 or 5 people in the world who care)? Exactly what threat do those who solicit prostitutes pose to the community at large, children in particular? How exactly does the inept DCF factor in?
The woman’s idiocy knows no bounds. Odds are such a registry would include her father and a good number of her colleagues in the legislature. People have moral issues with it, to be sure. But threatening? Please…
Back in the 80s or early 90s, Miami Dade County begun posting those convict of Soliciting Prostitution, (mostly the man) on billboards throughout the County. I believe a Court declared it unconstitutional public shaming.
The men & women of the evening would love this, they could stay home and just make contact with the people on the new state provided contact list

Including her father THE BIGGEST SCAMMER OF ALL!! i mean they feel if u did it once ull do again so why is he so special?
We could start a ‘piss-poor parent’ registry and ‘Daddy’ Book could be the poster boy.
