Sex offenders face actual danger from vigilantes

This past weekend a Florida man attempted to burn down a motel where several sex offenders were living. This latest attempt is just one of a growing list of assaults against registrants and their families. It’s a concern of landlords and employers as well.

On our case consideration forms we ask whether the individual was ever a victim of harassment or vigilantism and the answer is almost universally “yes”. When we’ve followed up to see what was done about it, generally the consensus is the police do nothing, sometimes even encourage the violence.

If you’re going to send people out with a target on their backs, they need a way to protect themselves. Let’s come up with that way.

I love my Pitbull if you step into my grass he’s gonna let me and you know it. What really bothers me is someone A-hole mistaking my spouse and children for me when they are driving around in our vehicles

I just saw a headline that said that a teacher who was caught in her car with a student a while back was murdered in her driveway yesterday. “For the children” I’m sure.

Air powered rifles are legal as they are NOT firearms. There are different laws/conditions between Felons and sex-offenders. I own a crossbow w/scope, a BB gun and a .22 air rifle w/scope. ALL legal.
I agree with FAC, they (or I ) DO NOT condone violence of any type. But when we have to protect ourselves (because no one else will) we have to stick together.

As far as a felon with a firearm. Yes it is illegal to posses a firearm in Florida (and many other states)
But what trumps State law (and every other law)??
    The Constitution !!
Please show me where in the second Amendment it excludes, or bars felons from owning a firearm?
    It says….
“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

Get big dogs.. I currently own 3 Cane Corsos the smallest weighs 122 lbs. Anyone that comes in my house will have 3 large animals to deal with, until I join the mix…

Just set up boobie traps around your house. Dig a moat around it and put a few alligators in it or something. That’ll teach these psychos.

Are RSOs in Florida well organized enough that there could be a sort of response team or at least person set up in every zip code? Mutual assistance is the best way if the police won’t help.
