Sex offenders face actual danger from vigilantes

This past weekend a Florida man attempted to burn down a motel where several sex offenders were living. This latest attempt is just one of a growing list of assaults against registrants and their families. It’s a concern of landlords and employers as well.

On our case consideration forms we ask whether the individual was ever a victim of harassment or vigilantism and the answer is almost universally “yes”. When we’ve followed up to see what was done about it, generally the consensus is the police do nothing, sometimes even encourage the violence.

If you’re going to send people out with a target on their backs, they need a way to protect themselves. Let’s come up with that way.

As the legislated actions creating & enabling the vigilantism is unconstitutional, use your second amendment rights, totally disregard laws that leave u defenseless & arm yourselves. Atop being scared sheep. Guns are lighter to carry than a cop.

We strongly discourage anyone with a felony to possess a firearm. It is a violation of state and federal law and can land you in prison for years.

Just wondering, does anyone have any clue as to the % of RSO’s that had adjudication Withheld and can still legally posses a fire arm??
I had a relative get mad at me a report me as an RSO in possession of a fire arm, detective never bothered to pull my record before he came out, once he showed up, i showed him my paperwork, and it was over, but said i was only the 2nd RSO he had ever encountered that still had all civil rights.

The State withheld adjudication…. And the flyer says, ” Convicted Sex Offender ” …. Where is the ” Convicted Child Abuser ” , or the ” Convicted DUI Homicidal Child Killer” ? Asking for a friend… -Bill

I’m with you guys! I have a crossbow and plenty of staves and swords and blades that I accumulated in martial arts training and know how to use them all. My oldest has a CCW and can take care of himself. I will most definitely “stand your ground” if needed and they can bury the fool afterwards.

One way may be to file for temporary injuctive relief, with the potential for a permanent protective injunction, but that will surely require a registered citizen to appear in court against a known vigilante. The difficulty is that most of these vigilantes are unkown until they attack.

So what you’re saying, is you intend to bring a knife to a firebomb fight that already happened while you were sleeping.

In Florida and most other states, A Felon is ALLOWED to own Black Powder Weapons !!(Not a modern Inline Rifle !!!) Any PRECUSSION type Black Powder Weapon is 100% LEGAL !!. And I can promise you that my 44 caliber Black Powder Revolver is just as good (if not better) as any 9mm or .38 call !!!. And they are VERY reliable !! Mine stays in my bedside drawer sometimes 6 MONTHS and when I take it to the Range to reload it, EVERY cylinder always fires !!. Between my 50 Caliber Rifles and 4, 44 caliber Revolvers, I can hold my own if someone is stupid enough to try to harm me or my family at my house. As far as in my vehicles, I carry one of my 44cal Revolvers in my center console !! And my wife is armed with a 9mm(She has a carry permit), And I’ve had contact with MANY law enforcement and I’ve never had an issue. I carry the Firearm Laws with me !!!!!!. ANY human has a RIGHT to defend themselves Against harm !! And I am one that will surely do so !!!. You can order a Revolver Kit Online for around $350. I suggest EVERYONE should buy one YESTERDAY and keep it close !! Do like me and buy several more cylinders and Preload them, That way you have EXTRA firepower if you need it !!. And a Felon is ALLOWED to own 50 POUNDS of Black Powder !!. So you can LEGALLY OWN enough firepower to protect yourself and family !! PRACTICE LOADING AND SHOOTING !! With practice, I’m almost as fast as someone loading a Clip in a 9mm !!. I can load my rifle in 17 seconds !!!!. And a 50 Caliber Rifle will go through a Engine Block !!. ARM YOURSELF TODAY !!!. Follow all the Firearm Laws !!!.

Be CAREFUL. Under Florida law, antique weapons must be actual antiques or replicas thereof. That is stricter than the Federal standards, which permit you to own a modern muzzleloader as long as it does not use modern ammo components like shotgun primers or smokeless powder. If you had a local sheriff or police chief with an axe to grind, like say Grady Judd, they might try to come after you for owner a BP gun that is not a “true replica” Im a paranoid, so I would be hesitant to have something the old Ruger Old Army cap and ball pistol as it is not based on any particular historical pistol and uses the same lock work as their early Blackhawk cartridge revolvers. The even MORE paranoid side of me says that if I buy say a Remington 1858 revolver replica, I am going to make sure that it is blued, not stainless.

If not for the safety of my family i would dare these assholes to step foot on my property. If they did they wouldnt be leaving. Feed their ass to the gator.
That goes for a cop as well if they come at me with some new law sat monitoring bullshit.
I’ve got alot of hate, i just need the trigger pulled. Wouldnt mind pullin the trigger on some miami pd when they try to evict the homeless.

Same here. It is the one thing I worry about. My family in the crossfires. If not, I would have my property set up like a war zone daring anyone to try me. I walk every day in my neighborhood to the stores looking over my back(with a Ka-Bar under my shirt ) and surroundings astutely (I have no car). This is how I have to live today.
