solresearch.org – good site for interesting facts

In doing some online research for answers to a question, I came across http://www.solresearch.org/.

On the homepage they had an interesting fact, “The federal sentence for photographing a 17-year-old with an erection is twice as severe as for attempting to kill him.”

Researcher Marshall Burns has put together a very useful site full of interesting statistics and summaries of studies on various sex offender issues.

FAC thanks Mr. Burns for his work and hope to see it expand and continue.

Thank you. This is a good site. One statistics I wish was a little more updated is “As of 2007, one out of every 220 men in the United States was on the sex crime registry” I have found that when I talk to people these kind of “smaller” more personal numbers hit home. A person can envision a group of 220 men. In the 9 years since that was compiled I would be willing to bet that 220 men has become a smaller number …
