As the Florida Action Committee grows, we get more and more calls for Outreach; registered citizens looking for housing, food, clothing, transportation, help in re-locating, tents to shelter the homeless, a small sum of money that will keep them from a violation of probation.
The FAC Organization does not have the resources to give the help that is needed. Fortunately, Justice Transitions, Inc (JT) has been there to provide Outreach services to FAC members for re-entry support and basic needs.
For such services to continue, it is important that JT hold fundraisers. This year, they have chosen the FAC motto “With Unity Comes Change” ….as they certainly have changed the lives of many of our FAC members.
This is a brief 30-day promotion that ends on December 3rd.
Click here to support Justice Transitions Inc by purchasing a short or long sleeve T-shirt with our motto. “With Unity Comes Change” … we say it, and now we can wear it.
Justice Transitions, Inc is the non-profit 501c3 organization and contributions to Justice Transitions are tax deductible.
That would be nice since messaging FAC doesn’t help. Does anyone here know where I can get helpful info on Lee County fo someone who’s soon to become a S/O ?
Your Attorney would know a lot more than F.A.C or public Pretender’s office. Sheriff Office But I would listen to them as if they will be selling salt- Useless
S. I will send to you by email the contact for the FAC rep in Lee County. He can also use your volunteer support on the Lee County team.
One of the things I have always thought about is having some kind of “Soup Kitchen” in our area, (Deltona) for those that are homeless or in a precarious financial position. I know that there are a lot of considerations you have to consider before launching an endeavor of this nature. But having first-hand experience with this system and making it through it, I have become financially stable despite of the things working against me. I would love nothing better than to help others that are having a hard time of it. I am just not sure how. Anyone from the FAC have any suggestions?
That is so sad to read, “…a small sum of money that will keep them from a violation of probation.” How in this country can not having any money be used against someone legally? Are we back in the day of Charles Dickens with the debtor’s prisons? For a growing number of people, I think we are.
LOVE! Can’t wait to get ours!!! We will wear them with pride.
