Textbook on Sex Crimes and Sex Offenders to be released

Dr. Donna Vandiver, Dr. Jeremy Braithwaite and Dr. Mark Stafford wrote the book on sex offenders. Literally. A new textbook written by these academics, titled “Sex Crimes and Sex Offenders: Theory, Research and Realities”, will be released later this month.

The textbook, which was written with students in mind, sets out to correct a lot of the misconceptions and “commonsense” myths that have been allowed to perpetuate over the years and identify what the research actually says about this topic.

A preview of the text can be found here: https://books.google.com/books?hl=en&lr=&id=lW2uDQAAQBAJ&oi=fnd&pg=PT9&dq=%22sex+offender+laws%22&ots=oX1Do-vCoa&sig=lCSoUEABzwj32veg5seChS4lunE#v=onepage&q&f=false
