The Reentry of Adults Convicted of Sexual Offenses: A National Survey of Reentry Professionals

You might find this interesting.  It is a six page read and these are just my thoughts:

First of all we have to be mindful this is a survey and not a study.  But it continues to indicate that the actual research, empirical data, and the knowledge base is just not being put to use!

In summary it points out the 3 primary issues for reentry are 1)-housing and employment, 2)  the understanding of the adults convicted with sexual offenses and 3)Risk assessment.

One of the statements in the survey is compelling and a recurring theme in current sex offender management practices; “Although evidence -based practices indicate that risk-and-need-based supervision ( e.g. more intensive supervision for higher risk offenders) is more effective than providing the same level of supervision for all offenders.”

What re-entry? There is no re-entry in Florida. Only ostracization, shame, and poverty.
