Therapy Aide at IL Civil Commitment Center Arrested for Sex Offenses

Here’s a twist… A “therapy aide” at the Illinois civil commitment center, where people who have committed a sexual offense are indefinitely confined for “therapy” after they have been released from incarceration, has been arrested on charges of possessing and disseminating child pornography.

Investigators from Rushville Police, the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Department, Illinois State Police and the Attorney General’s Internet Crimes Against Children task force reported finding evidence of child sexual abuse material during a search of the therapist’s residence.

Kinda makes you wonder what benefit the “therapy” the 500 people involuntarily committed to the center were receiving.

Do you or any one you know have information on how a person required to register can go about getting a new military identification card? I’ve been informed everyone must have the new card this year. Any help would be apppreciated.

Vivian, You have to go to the nearest military installation to the ID Card office. If you old Military ID was lost just tell them it was lost.

Unfortunately, we’re saying that some of the worst most egregious cases are from people in power and authority over others like judges, sheriffs, probation officers, cops and therapists alike. Is a dark day for everybody because it erodes public trust and does nothing to allay real child safety concerns
