TRUE CONFESSIONS -GPS MONITORING STORY

“OK, GPS Monitoring.. let me tell you the BIG Problem.” Its a electronic device that the company that makes it also contracts to monitor.

The recent Supreme Court Hearings and such articles states police agencies monitor but that is not so much the case.

The monitoring is as follows:

“As long as the GPS Device is working correctly it instantly triggers a signal if device is dead, malfunctions, tampered with etc. The device is programmed for each criminal case. So if you travel past your programming lets say a 50 mile radius then a alert signal is triggered.

So the device center alert the cops and then the cops come and get you. Fantastic idea!

In Apopka (Orange County)  last year, there was a case where that process took 6 hours.

By that time the felon that cut off his monitoring device was in another state. He was finally caught 6 months later. GPS and electronic monitoring is only as good as the people monitoring you.

The huge question should be;

Do Sheriff Offices have the manpower to monitor thousands and thousands of RSOs 24-7-365?

And more importantly do the Device manufacturers have a sure proof monitoring system?

I have to say as of today, Absolutely not.. so along with Supreme Court hearings and severe Violation of your Civil Rights, the actual technology which must be controlled by humans is flat out not working.
