More than unwilling- a prank phone call oh a peeper to my house trying to Arrest me I had numbers, names, addresses, and work information form subject and wife doing scam. They said literally well you put yourself out there being on registry this is going to happen. I asked what about false 911 call he said well that requires alot of diligence. So just don’t pay anyone and know we will not call you if you violate will come pick you up

Here in Florida they had this going on… the probation officers, under orders to inform SO’s of the scam, started warning SO’s and when I heard about it, my immediate response was that it could only be done by probation officers or law enforcement, because they’re the only ones with access to offender’s phone numbers… ESPECIALLY when the calls came on the offenders GPS device where the number is only accessible to the probation officers.
Not one week after I exposed this, not one SO in the office ever received another scam call.

I like her, she just stated the facts and did not demoralize or hate on us. She may not like us, but she did not give off that vibe and stuck with the facts without putting us down.

All the more reason the registry should never be public.

What a dumb intro to the story -is it justice?? No- just one more way to make every offender and their families’ lives even more of a terrifying misery which nobody cares about. I promise you if anybody prominent or wealthy had been targeted they would have traced it and those people would be in jail.

I have been a target of this scam and a couple of others. I’ll give credit to the newsstation for mentioning it. Too bad law enforcement is incapable of tracking down these scams or unwilling to do so.
