‘We’re sitting ducks’: Concerns of copycat attacks following sex offender’s killing

When “Jay” first heard the motive behind Mattieo Condoluci’s death, he immediately feared for the safety of his family.

“We’re sitting ducks,” he said.

Prosecutors believe James Fairbanks sent KETV Newswatch 7 an anonymous email about killing Condoluci. The sender said he had been looking for an apartment in the area when he discovered Condoluci on the Nebraska Sex Offender Registry.

Regarding the murder of Mr. Condoluci. I have sent notes to the Nebraska Legislature, Omaha World-Herald, GoFundMe, Facebook, The Nebraska Help Group and the last one…maybe if enough folks write, there will be a change.

WOW this guy is BRAVE or stupid. On one hand I applaud him for speaking out but on the other hope he is prepared for those protestors to show up now at his house along with the hate group. He just put a target on his own and his families backs.
Even though he tried to use just a first and maybe fake name, based on where he lives, showing his face etc, any smart person could locate him in minutes.
Yes he is already on the registry but by speaking out on the news, he will not be happy with the results. I HOPE I am wrong but doubt it. Next door already caused many people to move above and beyond the registry. At least we can access our registry platform to see what others see, Nextdoor, facebook etc, not so much.

This is why the registry does more harm than good, if anything it should be only for law enforcement to be able to access not for the public and I’m sure there going to let this guy off of with a very minimal sentence even though he took someone’s life and that’s wrong.

Gina, when it first came out, that was the idea. They sneaked into ever expanding it with baby steps and as the public accepted and even welcomed it, it exploded into what it is today.
Also, Fear if something is not done, it may become something so bad that we won’t be able to show our faces in public.
Next they could add links to our actual cases, charges etc (not sure that is legal but they could try it an make us challenge it)

Registry Supporters/Terrorists (RS/Ts) do not consider the murder of a Person Forced to Register (PFR) to be harm. They are not concerned about harm to a PFR’s family. That harm is an intended feature of the Registries. Registries are not for public safety, they are for vengeance.

Given that, every Registered family should have their homes well secured, by whatever means can be done. If the family can afford some property, they can enclose it with fencing, have several homes on it, and rent some of them to people in exchange for armed protection. Personally, I’d love to have some RS/Ts come to my property to try to harm me. They’d get what ALL of them deserve.
