Another chance to Vote: Do you think “sex offenders” can be rehabilitated

Last month members chimed in on whether a registrant should be involved in civic life and we were successful in making sure the poll reflected our voice.

A new poll from California’s KMPH Fox 26 News asks a simple question: Can people on the sex offender registry be rehabilitated?

The data says yes. But systems like Florida’s say no — imposing lifetime consequences, no matter how much someone changes.

So what do you believe? If you believe people are more than the worst thing they’ve ever done and have the capacity to change, make sure your vote is counted. If you believe in accountability and redemption, make sure your vote is counted. And if you want the public to know that there are people out there who believe people on the registry can be rehabilitated, VOTE YES NOW!!!

As of now, the poll reflects 72% of votes agree that sex offenders CAN be rehabilitated vs. 28% say no. That’s awesome! Keep educating the masses!

I’m starting to wonder,… am I the sick one, or are they? Truly, to have my vote bring yes up to 34% shows just how brainwashed the sheeple are.

IDK Salitime… This is a poll being conducted out of California. If someone wants to share it with ACSOL maybe it would get more traction? In our humble opinion, they should be promoting it also, as should NARSOL.
9 days ago we had registrants targeted, one was beaten with a baseball bat, cut up into pieces and his body parts dumped across Brevard County. The killer had printed a list of registrants to target. Thousands of people here in Florida are scared out of their minds right now, but for whatever reason it wasn’t mentioned outside of our group.
Your question is often the same as mine. It makes no sense to me that there are nearly a million registrants across the country and we can’t get 1/1000th of them to say something or do something.

I agree. But most registrants internet access has been stolen from them by the courts but that doesn’t mean that the registrants’ families can’t participate.

No end, I get that many don’t have internet, but as of this minute there are 583 votes – 34% yes – that’s less than 200 people voted yes. We can do better. We should do better.

            No end

Well there is some good news in the future.
Ron DeSantis’s term as Governor of Florida is set to end on January 5, 2027, that is about 9 months or so. Let us pray we get a new governor who can give us some sort of positive future, and not the same-old, same-old, song and dance.
