Bill introduced to Expand Death Penalty for Child Rapists
A new federal proposal introduced by Republican Representative Nancy Mace would authorize the death penalty for child sexual offenses, including rape of a minor and abusive sexual contact against children, and extend that punishment into the military justice system.
Currently, imposing capital punishment for non-homicide crimes violates the Eighth Amendment under established Supreme Court precedent (Kennedy v. Louisiana (2008)), meaning the bill would almost certainly invite lengthy legal challenges and divert time and resources from other priorities.
Expanding the death penalty does not address the underlying causes of child sexual abuse, and may worsen existing problems such as discouraging reporting — especially in familial abuse cases. FAC would argue that strengthening prevention, investigation, and support for victims would be a more constructive priority for lawmakers than pursuing an expansion of the death penalty that faces constitutional hurdles and years worth of litigation.

Nancy Mace is, in my opinion, utterly unhinged (like R. Book). Ms. Mace’s buddy, Rep. (another from Florida) Anna Paulina Luna I believe first brought up using the death penalty in crimes against children (not resulting in death). As you know, Rep. Mace is also pushing her bill to ban Registrants nationally from disaster shelters.
Kudos to News Nation host Leland Vittert, for standing up to Nancy Mace last night on his program. She acted unhinged as usual, he pushed back and “ridiculed” her for extreme views on the Epstein files and not supporting the rule of law. If you can, i recommend taking a look at the segment. Of course, Vittert was immediately accused of “defending pedophiles” from the deranged mobs on X.
Since Rep. Mace is now grandstanding for a member of President Trump’s Cabinet to testify about the Epstein files (as a suspect), I hope her political fortunes disappear.

Thank you! 👍
The people who believe that all “sex offenders” as pedophiles will love this bill. And don’t forget that most people who are sentenced to die for a crime wind of dying of old age in prison while their case is litigated for any years. Please use common sense and deny this bill.
We need the bill number so we can track.
Will she or a cosponsor add in breaking/entering, drug dealing, identity fraud, and physical abuse? After all, far more children have been harmed by any of these than any sex (or “sex”) crime.
Could it potentially be applied retro-actively? Seems like since the registry itself was allowed to be applied retroactively, to the law makers, I guess everything is on the table as they see it. I do not want to give them any ideas, but they continue to push the envelope of punishment more and more until we fall off the edge of the legal systems Niagara Falls.
And of course, ALL of the things they do to us are considered by law makers as “non punitive”. Where do they stop, at firing squads? Is anything punishment in their eyes? We know that answer already from the start. Every time we earn a win, even a small one, they come back at us with 10X more damages to our freedoms.
No, it won’t be applied retroactively.

Well at least that is something. David and Goliath situations we seem to always be finding ourselves in. IE, registered population versus the city, county, state and the U.S on some occasions.
Restrictions, ordinances, laws, and numerous other requirements they keep hitting us with they throw against the wall and hope to stick. I do agree that if there was not an F.A.C and other organizations, we would all be back in jail or prison for the most part. Not because we re-offended, but because they tripped us up with some new ambiguous requirements, aimed at us to fail.
And I am not sure if it is just me, but I see less and less people commenting lately on F.A.C. Did they simply give up and throw in the towel?
I think that is a very interesting question.
Common sense and american jurisprudence would say no, but we have seen common sense and american jurisprudence wither under the hysteria.
Justice has been twisted so by populist sentiment!
Of course it’s Nancy Mace. This woman is on a one way road trip to create the harshest laws possible regardless of constitutionality. I hope common sense prevails and this bill is killed.
Well Mace is supposedly a former victim of sexual assault. And I do believe that she is running for Governor of South Carolina. I empathize with her, but she fits the stereotype of a person seeking revenge for personal gain. Reminds me of Ms. Book.
That is the same analogy another forum contributor has said about her, which IMO is spot on. These actions now are all for her campaign because she knows she is behind in the state polls and needs the political credibility for votes regardless of what the court’s opinion was on it. She is pushing this like other southern states are (ahem, AL) because they feel if they normalize it in thought, then it can’t be considered cruel and unusual by the courts. Enough lies about it said will make it believable and therefore, the truth in their feeble minds.
IMO, Ms. Mace is trying to make up for lost ground and time she has and she blew once she graduated from her institution of higher education where her pop was the top dawg administrator.
