IL: County sheriff’s deputies monitoring sex offenders
This isn’t that newsworthy except for the Deputy’s comments that registrants should be forced to remain in their county of conviction. Someone might want to remind him of the Privileges and Immunities Clause of the United States Constitution which states, “The Citizens of each State shall be entitled to all Privileges and Immunities of Citizens in the several States.” Freedom of movement is a fundamental right and once someone is off probation there is no reason or right to restrict them.

When he said that every 90 check ups are required on predators but they are doing every 30. Isn’t that infringing on harassment. As Florida has found in situations of numerous offenders in on location especially on probation that it is better for leo agency’s to monitor probationers than have them spread out around the county. This guys an idiot. He’s trying to be another Sherriff Grady Judd
The above constitutional reminder for Sheriff Forestal has been posted at the WRTV ABC Facebook page in Marion Co Illinois.
So the Sheriff identified the problem as having a high concentration of registered folks in one place. Perhaps he should speak up as an advocate for increasing the number of places registered folks can live! So registered citizens should be mandated to live in the same county they committed the crime, perhaps near the victim? It is common sense to keep RSO away from schools where they are under the constant prying eyes of parents and teachers. It is much better for RSO to live near that remote bus stop on the outskirts of town, far away from police and parent watch groups.
When I drive through their county next month maybe I’ll make a stop at their county sheriff’s office. Ask to use the rest room. Come out and tell them hey, we and the rest of the US PFR’s left you a reminder gift in the rest room. Don’t forget who you are.
We have too many of the uneducated enforcing unwritten, un-Constitutional ‘laws’…i.e. restrictions.
Just more scare tactics and fascist propaganda totally not based upon facts and science. As if cops are without sins themselves….
