Inmate kills second registrant in California Prison Jan 23, 2020 | 13 comments A second convicted child molester has died after he was beaten with a walking cane by another inmate last week at a central California prison, officials said Wednesday. SOURCE Facebook Twitter Google+ 13 Comments R M on January 27, 2020 at 1:46 pm I was incarcerated in a minimum security (those with less than 5 years left on their sentence or those with a less than 5 year sentence) prison yet the mentality that one person was better than another’s still prevailed. There were definitely groups that backed their own. I basically minded my own business (3 yer sentence), exercised, read books, went to every class I could, etc. I did have “friends” though. It was those associations to friends that led to altercations. Many among my “friends” were a different race to me; race didn’t matter to me, I chose who I associated with based on their qualities as a human. Yet they chose to attack me physically because I wasn’t “one of them”. The first was someone from the place I lived (like we were homies because we lived in the same area). We were cool till one day he decided whatever and attacked me… yet we were both in for sex crimes. The second was of another race trying to gain popularity. His bullying was rejected and he backed off. The point is, in prison and in jails, people try to gain “respect” no matter what put them behind bars. RC’s are easy bait as no one wants to be associated with that crime (even though it’s one of the lowest recidivism rates). Reply WC_TN on January 24, 2020 at 10:35 am Just goes to show you what kind of human scum works in jails and prisons. I guarantee you the turn-keys think it’s funny when a child molester gets beaten, raped or murdered in prison. I personally think registrants are sent to prison WITH THE HOPE AND INTENT THAT INMATES WILL “TAKE CARE OF THEM ONCE AND FOR ALL.” Otherwise, every state would have prisons or housing units and yards in existing prisons just for individuals with those kinds of charges. There would also have to be separate housing for rapists of adults because they’re vulnerable too, but they’d have to be kept separate from the child molesters because they too amazingly look down their noses at child molesters, therefore they can’t be trusted in the same housing either. Reply Tim on January 23, 2020 at 10:20 pm That’s the whole problem with the whole show 1. When you go to court its completely biased against you from the start because of the type of crime 2. People dont listen to anything as soon as they hear the charges. Your guilty 3 your lawyer ain’t trying to fight for you , after all he dont want to be known for getting you off if you later turn out to be another John Cooie 4 the judge is under the same thought 5 so even as in my case it was all he said she said no physical evidence no DNA nothing noted as unusual on the CPT exam so nothing my lawyer dont try to get it thrown out for lack of evidence. Instead he convinces my wife that I will get life in prison. Because after all who is the jury going to want to believe ? So she needed to beg me to take a deal !! I got 10 yrs prison 25 yrs probation. While I was at one camp I saw a 68 yr old man Vietnam vet with one eye in a wheel chair get hit in the head with a lick in a sock over 60 times from behind while the guards stood at the door and waited. I was in the next pod over and could do nothing. The reason for this assult by a 18 or 19 yr old kid was he wanted to make his bones to get into a gang and who better then a registered inmate that was his reason for picking this man a man who came clean of what he did got his life back on track got right with God made amends to his victim , who would be in prison for the rest of his life and would do anything to help anyone. This is what we face if we go to prison so we are strong armed into taking deals , yet they ask were you pressured or coerced into taking the deal REALLY ?? Of course we were !! All I can say is Thankyou to those fighting for us God bless and help & protect those of us who are trying to live right and do the right thing and finally, Mr. Tommy may you rest in peace sir.(2017) Reply JEV on January 23, 2020 at 8:25 pm A convicted child predator in a general population of any prison is a very bad idea. Reply Kathleen on January 23, 2020 at 5:32 pm I know that San Diego County has paid out millions for injury and death lawsuits. It is their responsibility to keep the inmates safe. I hope the family of this inmate takes the State of California (or the Federal Government if a federal prison) for a fortune. It will not make up for the loss of their loved one but perhaps it may persuade the “SYSTEM” to protect registrants and others. Reply David on January 24, 2020 at 12:12 am If you read the comments a lot of the people are ‘praising a murderer’ for killing a ‘sex offender’. Wow!! How disgusting of a justification for a killer is that?! In other words, a convicted killer is a hero in the eyes of the public when he kills again if it is a sex offender, but had he not killed them, he would be a cold blooded murder sitting in prison and just as disgusting a human as the rest in prison if not more. In essence, it’s like the public praising a Cobra for killing a Rattlesnake. The ‘unjust’ is now ‘just’ for passing his own sentence on the ‘unjust’-CRAZY!!! Everyone should log-in to this site and ask the people how they would view this guy had he not killed 2 sex offenders. They would look at him as some kind of scum, but now he is hero. People disgust me!!!!!! Reply Iservedmytym on January 23, 2020 at 3:52 pm Officials are investigating the motive for the attack. Are you kidding me ? I don’t know if these people really can’t see the truth if so they are incompetent or are just unwilling to tell the truth which makes them liars either way they shouldn’t be in charge of animals much less human beings Reply Jim on January 23, 2020 at 3:23 pm How many people convicted of sex offenses are in Florida prisons? I know there are more than enough to start designating prisons so that they can serve their sentences safely. It’s bs that you have to live in fear that someone will find out your conviction and then either try to harm you or leverage you for canteen or other stuff. Reply TheTruthHurts on January 23, 2020 at 9:02 pm Jim…. to my knowledge of the Flori-Duh Prison Population that exceeds 100K, (PLUS 165K on Supervised Release) there are approximately, 15K-Plus that are being held to related offenses….when I was There on a probation technical violation that lasted 26 months, there were 9 prisons that had dorms that housed primarily, US, notwithstanding…..that being said..more of the ‘THEN’, faith-based “Campus” style Correctional Facilities housed men with Our Stigma….now, since, the Previous FLA DOC HEAD, left, sold out to the CENTENE corporation-Piranha, the FLA DOC is now headed with a brass balls dude..we shall SEE and we all should pray for HIM and Restorative Criminal Justice! AMEN! Reply Sex Offender Truth on January 23, 2020 at 3:19 pm This happens and people wonder why innocent people (such as myself) take rotten plea deals rather than fight. It’s called self-preservation for those unfamiliar with the concept. I certainly was not willing to trust the justice system to protect me from a similar fate. Nope Reply John on January 23, 2020 at 5:45 pm Sex offender truth, that was my dilemma. I took a plea at 19 years old. I wanted to fight it but reality hit, along with my parents trying to convince me. I had an 18 month plea deal and 1 year probation, 15 months with good behavior, vs a potential 50 year sentence if i took it to trial and lost. And its not so much that i would have lost my defense, its that our society is horrified when they hear sex offense. My charge was cp, i used limewire to dl music and movies and some cp vids came through. Didnt thibk much of them but because it was limewire and they were in my server folder, police were able to find them and say i was distributing them. I had no idea and didnt even think about it, but when police raided my house and told me what they were there for i was like oh f***, i knew, but i didnt do anything intentional. But i had no choice, either take a plea or face the biased populous and face the rest of my life in prison Reply JEV on January 23, 2020 at 8:37 pm When you download from any file sharing website that you are paying for you know per file name and description what you are downloading. Your ID per registration of the file sharing site identifies your IP, Location etc. A LEA conducting a investigation can ask the file sharing company to share information for identification purposes. Then if your hardrive contains CP the cops serving a warrant can find it with forensics. Telling the cops I didn’t realize I had or downloaded illegal content is a terrible defense.
