A convicted child predator in a general population of any prison is a very bad idea.

I know that San Diego County has paid out millions for injury and death lawsuits. It is their responsibility to keep the inmates safe. I hope the family of this inmate takes the State of California (or the Federal Government if a federal prison) for a fortune. It will not make up for the loss of their loved one but perhaps it may persuade the “SYSTEM” to protect registrants and others.

If you read the comments a lot of the people are ‘praising a murderer’ for killing a ‘sex offender’.
Wow!! How disgusting of a justification for a killer is that?!
In other words, a convicted killer is a hero in the eyes of the public when he kills again if it is a sex offender, but had he not killed them, he would be a cold blooded murder sitting in prison and just as disgusting a human as the rest in prison if not more.
In essence, it’s like the public praising a Cobra for killing a Rattlesnake.
The ‘unjust’ is now ‘just’ for passing his own sentence on the ‘unjust’-CRAZY!!!
Everyone should log-in to this site and ask the people how they would view this guy had he not killed 2 sex offenders.
They would look at him as some kind of scum, but now he is hero.
      People disgust me!!!!!!

Officials are investigating the motive for the attack. Are you kidding me ? I don’t know if these people really can’t see the truth if so they are incompetent or are just unwilling to tell the truth which makes them liars either way they shouldn’t be in charge of animals much less human beings

How many people convicted of sex offenses are in Florida prisons? I know there are more than enough to start designating prisons so that they can serve their sentences safely.

It’s bs that you have to live in fear that someone will find out your conviction and then either try to harm you or leverage you for canteen or other stuff.

      Jim….
to my knowledge of the Flori-Duh Prison Population that exceeds 100K, (PLUS 165K on Supervised Release) there are approximately, 15K-Plus that are being held to related offenses….when I was There on a probation technical violation that lasted 26 months, there were 9 prisons that had dorms that housed primarily, US, notwithstanding…..that being said..more of the ‘THEN’, faith-based “Campus” style Correctional Facilities housed men with Our Stigma….now, since, the Previous FLA DOC HEAD, left, sold out to the CENTENE corporation-Piranha, the FLA DOC is now headed with a brass balls dude..we shall SEE and we all should pray for HIM and Restorative Criminal Justice!
      AMEN!

This happens and people wonder why innocent people (such as myself) take rotten plea deals rather than fight.

It’s called self-preservation for those unfamiliar with the concept. I certainly was not willing to trust the justice system to protect me from a similar fate. Nope

Sex offender truth, that was my dilemma. I took a plea at 19 years old. I wanted to fight it but reality hit, along with my parents trying to convince me. I had an 18 month plea deal and 1 year probation, 15 months with good behavior, vs a potential 50 year sentence if i took it to trial and lost. And its not so much that i would have lost my defense, its that our society is horrified when they hear sex offense. My charge was cp, i used limewire to dl music and movies and some cp vids came through. Didnt thibk much of them but because it was limewire and they were in my server folder, police were able to find them and say i was distributing them. I had no idea and didnt even think about it, but when police raided my house and told me what they were there for i was like oh f***, i knew, but i didnt do anything intentional. But i had no choice, either take a plea or face the biased populous and face the rest of my life in prison

When you download from any file sharing website that you are paying for you know per file name and description what you are downloading. Your ID per registration of the file sharing site identifies your IP, Location etc. A LEA conducting a investigation can ask the file sharing company to share information for identification purposes. Then if your hardrive contains CP the cops serving a warrant can find it with forensics. Telling the cops I didn’t realize I had or downloaded illegal content is a terrible defense.
