Lauren Book obtains restraining order against Once Fallen’s Derek Logue
In what was made to sound like a terrible stalking situation (that wasn’t), Senator Lauren Book obtained an injunction against outspoken advocate Derek Logue. Insiders, who know Logue and his mission, know he was not seeking to harm Book personally, but to debunk her politically motivated and self-serving platform.
Although FAC has not always condoned Derek’s methods, the underlying message he was trying to send is a valid one. The laws Senator Book (and her father) push for are not based on empirical evidence, will do nothing to make the public safer, in many cases (such as in the case of SORRs) do more harm than good and, in light of their financial interests in Lauren’s Kids and Geo Group are self-serving. As an elected representative of the people she is unwilling to even listen to the position of her constituents unless they are aligned with her political or financial interests.
The Florida Action Committee has reached out to Senator Book on numerous occasions, requesting to present our member’s concerns to our legislator. She has repeatedly refused to speak with us.
So, rather than get frustrated, we’ll leave the ball in Senator Book’s court and move on, wishing her health, happiness and most of all, insight!

I belive there was another individual who was checking into the sex trafficking issue, and had also been given a restraining order from a florida attorney in Broward. It does make you wonder.
Wait, the books are linked to sex trafficking somehow??
No, not implying this; but taking consideration of the restraint order matter and pointing out how it appears thati one can be ordered for anyone if in a right position to buy one.

I too am interested. It’s time that Book is brought out into the light. She can no longer hide behind her agenda.
I am a Christian and very happy that I am. It helps to get me through the tough times. The Bible tells me that when I acknowledge my sins…I will not ‘sugar coat’ the word ‘sins’ with ‘shortcomings’…and receive forgiveness that I am to move on and be a positive service to mankind. It also tells me that a man who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is not worthy of the kingdom of Heaven…in other words, don’t let your past destroy your future. And this valuable Word of God also tells us that the devil will try to use our past to destroy our future. We see it happening all around us. The registry is just one example. It is people like Book who try and try to destroy futures with pasts. I consider such people to be agents of the devil and I take that into consideration when they come forth with their constant ‘diarrhea’ of verbal and legal attacks. It is up to each RSO to prove these devil agents to be wrong and liars from the pit of hell. Don’t give them a foundation to stand on. At every opportunity bring their evil into the light either through the newspapers or community meetings or through e-mails to your many friends. Don’t let these agents rest in peace until they have admitted that they were wrong. I know it may seem like a waste of time but with the way they are willing to treat RSO’s then it’s ‘tit for tat’. Let us all consider that what we are going through today is building our strong character for tomorrow. I know many may not put much confidence in the Bible but I have never found a better reference for helping us get through this life. May God bless and empower us all!

“Book’s HB 1301 is nothing but a thinly-veiled effort to stop anti-registry activists from organizing. Since Floridians aren’t standing up for themselves, I and many of those who attended my Rally in Tally in 2015 were from out-of-state. This bill serves no purpose but to limit our rights to engage in peaceful demonstrations. That should be painfully obvious.”

How is it possible a judge would grant such an order when no threats were made it was just a private citizen attempting to communicate with a elected official. So what this order says if a elected official doesn’t like what your saying they can put a stop to your first amendment rights what has this country become

I am not familiar with what happened between Book and Lowe. I know a little about Lowes stance. Is it really a case about stalking or about someone who applies heat and questions Books actions and gets slapped with stalking? If anyone who opposes Book get dealt the same fate? Is she that untouchable? Or that delicate?
Senator Book is typical of legislators who chase baseless agendas. Not able to support their actions with facts they just ignore responding to their constituents. Unless she changes there will be a special place in hell for her likes.
