Lauren Book obtains restraining order against Once Fallen’s Derek Logue
In what was made to sound like a terrible stalking situation (that wasn’t), Senator Lauren Book obtained an injunction against outspoken advocate Derek Logue. Insiders, who know Logue and his mission, know he was not seeking to harm Book personally, but to debunk her politically motivated and self-serving platform.
Although FAC has not always condoned Derek’s methods, the underlying message he was trying to send is a valid one. The laws Senator Book (and her father) push for are not based on empirical evidence, will do nothing to make the public safer, in many cases (such as in the case of SORRs) do more harm than good and, in light of their financial interests in Lauren’s Kids and Geo Group are self-serving. As an elected representative of the people she is unwilling to even listen to the position of her constituents unless they are aligned with her political or financial interests.
The Florida Action Committee has reached out to Senator Book on numerous occasions, requesting to present our member’s concerns to our legislator. She has repeatedly refused to speak with us.
So, rather than get frustrated, we’ll leave the ball in Senator Book’s court and move on, wishing her health, happiness and most of all, insight!

Getting too much of the truth out there makes the hate mongers like Books use “legal” intimidation to silence those who call her out on her career of using misinformation to manipulate the public for her own personal gain.
This is American politics at it worse but that is what we have come to expect from ALL Florida politicians.

Is there a way to challenge the current HB1301 on the grounds of the 1st Amendment?
The right to join with fellow citizens in protest or peaceful assembly is critical to a functioning democracy and at the core of the First Amendment. Unfortunately, law enforcement officials sometimes violate this right through means intended to thwart free public expression.

“Senator” Lauren Book and her father are essentially shaking down the Florida legislature financially through their “foundation” to rake in millions of dollars at the expense of registrants. In short, they have a DIRECT financial reward for promoting anti-registrant laws. Sad!
The Books are crooks. Plain and simple. Other legislators that facilitate the money train are also guilty. What do you expect from a criminal regime?
What exactly is the ruling?
He has to stay 500 feet from her work or home and 1000 from her. Should not be an issue, since He lives 1000 MILES away in another state!
Her objective was to silence him from protesting at her events.
FAC didn’t get involved in the Rally in Tally because we knew the approach, even in the form of a peaceful protest, would bring retaliation from the Books.
All the more reason to do it!!
He lives 1,000 miles away but made it his mission to visit Florida in attempts to confront Lauren. Ironic that a convicted child sex offender would protest a woman who was sexually abused as a child.
Tommy – we welcome all commenters. He’s an advocate for rational laws as opposed to the irrational ones that currently exist and that Lauren Book advances. Advocates for change are supposed to show up and speak out. Just like she travels nationally to promote her cause, Derek travels nationally to promote his.
He is not protesting her – he is protesting her policies.
He traveled to protest Lauren and her father for pushing laws that further restrict and punish registrants that do nothing to keep society safer.
That pos b**oh will rest assured, stand before the throne of God one day and have to answer to Him for using the influence He gave her to make people’s lives more miserable rather than better. She chose to use her story and pain to serve herself rather than help people. You will see her and Ron’s downfall real soon. I’m praying for it. Vengeance is mine, I will repay says the Lord.
