Member Submission: Female registrant receives unsolicited card

The following was submitted by a member who is a female required to register.

I just wanted to address the fact that I received a Christmas card in the mail today. It has no return address but it had my full name including middle and was very unnerving. It said that my ‘picture’ was sexy and seductive and that it captivated this person. Calling me a secret admirer and gave me a number to ‘call or text’. It came to my house. I’m disgusted and disturbed. No privacy for us trying to heal, move on, and live. I don’t know if I report this to my officer, my attorney, or do nothing. Anyone else get this?

The number this person gave isXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Just a warning and heads up. Plus asking for advice.

I wonder if police can collect finger prints from that Christmas card. Unless the creep used gloves which makes it even more creepy. I would contact the police and attorney right away.

His name is Julian Alexander Parafina and I am getting an address out of Grosse Point, Michigan or an address out of Toledo, Ohio and he is 59 years old and unfortunately he is not a convicted felon.

Wow. Nice work. He may not be a convicted felon but he’s seeking out women listed on the sex offender registry so he’s likely flown under the radar for quite some time. Creepy is correct. Please keep us posted of what else you may find.

Hey this Joe City of Tallahassee/Leon County Coordinator for the Florida Action Committee and Fellow Registered Citizen and I have been texting this guy so far he has revealed to me that his name is Julian. I am trying to bait this to continue to talk to me. I am getting my friend at Central Intelligence Agency headquarters at Langley, Virginia to background check and profile this guy and he is reporting him.

Number is registered to a Thomas Morris in Detroit MI. It is assigned to Sprint. It is a cell number could be a burner, but usually burners do not have a CNAM registered. Hope this is useful.

I’m very sorry this has happened to you. I do like the idea of a dowel as a weapon that can easily be labeled something else – I plan on going to get one myself. I am in an RV with my dog, living near the prison that holds my entrapped son of a proactive police sting. As a woman, I know that card is a threat even if men don’t understand. I doubt the asshat has balls enough to do anything more though, so please do not overly stress. Report it, get the stick, and be vigilant. You cannot control others, but also don’t let their actions control who you are or what you do. Stay strong.

I’m assuming the female member is a Florida registrant… that phone number is all the way from Detroit and most likely a burner number of some sort. Like others mentioned, I would immediately let the authorities/police handle this and definitely contact my attorney as well.
