MI: Sex offender reports confrontation, assault by kids

A registered sex offender in Allegan County said he could not stay silent about the strangers who showed up at his home early Sunday morning.

“I thought, ‘You know what? I’m gonna reach out to you guys because … if I don’t do something, (what if) somebody else loses their life because I didn’t take action?’ the husband and father told Target 8 Monday.

He wasn’t willing to risk it.

“The other sex offenders that live in the area that don’t know (about what happened) could get attacked,” he explained.

Mistake number one was him opening the garage door (making yourself vulnerable) and engaging with them.

Just an observation. The guy probably hand doorbell cams – which the mob noticed – and that’s why they went to his garage.

Once again, we see the registry operating exactly as designed — not merely tracking risk, but branding entire families for lifelong punishment. A tool of vigilantism Remember that post I made and was censored for about the WW2 children running in the streets stoning those on the German registry? most may not because the post was censored. (didn’t want to offend those with the rocks maybe?)..These kids had everything but the rocks…I said it was coming didn’t I?
Not long ago, I was also censored simply for observing what may happen when even a cautious man is cornered and kicked long enough. The curtain has now been pulled back. The true consequences are in plain view.
Imagine, instead of the registrant, it was his child at school or his pregnant wife taking out the trash. Would you still censor the person who says what did you expect was going to happen or would you actually admit that you can only shake the bottle so long before the contents boil over? I don’t advocate violence but sometimes even Gandhi has to throw hands and say enough is enough…In my own family, my wife lost her job, endured relentless bullying, and ultimately lost her citizenship. My children were beaten, tormented, and even groped in Michigan schools — not only by students, but with the apparent tolerance of teachers and administrators. The state police proved even worse. I still possess the internal reports claiming officers have every right to trespass, stalk, and peer through the windows of pre-teen girls showering and preparing for bed — simply because their father is on the registry. We left the country to protect my family.
At what point does basic human decency demand we stop pretending this is acceptable? Are we all expected to remain polite pacifists while our families are targeted, simply to avoid offending those who enforce or defend these policies?
Registered individuals and their families retain the same fundamental rights as every other citizen: the right to safety, the right to protect their children, and the right to defend themselves and their property against unlawful aggression. Polite silence is not virtue — it is consent. Those organizing, enabling, or quietly celebrating this targeting will not suddenly speak up for us or restrain their actions.
It is long past time to say, collectively and honestly: Enough.

I am totally in your camp O.A. and have been seeing the parallels with past horrors slowing unfolding here. You were smart to move. I am always prepared to do the same.

The problem with appealing to basic human decency is that, in reality, there is no innate floor that supports that, if history is to be our judge. Human beings, collectively, have the capacity to support, even commit, great acts of evil against others who are perceived to be unlike themselves. The sooner we accept that, the better prepared we will be when/if that day comes where we must respond to it.

He’s lucky to be alive. Those kids could have been another Jason Vuckovich.

And this is my take. What if the man had protected himself from those creeps and had to defend himself and one of them was badly injured or worse. The registered person would probably be arrested, and the rest of the vigilante group would make up a story stating they were going door to door asking for donations for sick children when attacked by the registered person for no reason.

I rarely open my door for anyone. I have tinted windows on my front door so I can see who is at the door but cannot see me if the lights are off. If it is someone I do not know, I do not open the door. If you are someone I know, or my Deputy coming to check on me, then and only then will I make myself available.

There’s no reason to hypothesize or share a personal anecdote with every single story we share.
A group of kids harassed and assaulted this guy in his own home over an offense from 30 years ago. That says it all. Inventing alternate scenarios is not informing members of anything.

      1. We’re all sitting ducks.

      2. They know we’re all soft targets because they assume we’re not “allowed” to possess firearms.

      3. I’d rather get hit with another felony for possession of a weapon and send a national message to every “justice hero twerp” even thinking of messing with someone on the list, than become a dead victim.

      4. Being accosted in the middle of the night by a mob of masked assailants recording you on your property without you consent is an act of aggression and a threatening gesture.

It’s tempting to imagine that getting charged with a felony would give us the opportunity to send a national message of our choosing. But in most cases it does no such thing. Facts, please don’t get yourself in trouble!

        Facts

In that situation, I would have stayed inside, called 9-11 and told them there was a group of home invasion punks trying to gain access to my house with my wife and kids inside. And would have asked them not to come with lights and sirens because then, like they always do, they would get away.

THERE IS AN OLD SAY… BETTER TO BE JUDGED BY 12 THAN CARRIED BY 6!
I 100% agree with you, and my wife said, she can carry, and she’ll shoot them and let the devil short them out.
We are all tired of the dam BS! If you kill no one knows after you serve your time, but this crap is forever, fuck this country. I fought in the USMC for this pos.
Given a chance I will soon be leaving the United States of Corruption!

No we can not possess firearms, but we can have pellet guns, etc…. think outside the box… 🙂

I would not risk it, especially if it looks real. And if you shoot someone with a pellet gun, even as defense, because of our charges, I am pretty sure you would be charged. Even if charges dropped, you would never get off the registry because of an arrest, even if dropped, it still counts for the registry mafia.
