Polk County: Let’s See What Happens When It’s One of Their Own
Sheriff Grady Judd is once again in the headlines promoting a large undercover operation branded “Polk Around and Find Out” (he comes up with the best names, doesn’t he)? This operation led to over 260 arrests across Central Florida. But at the same time, a very different case was unfolding in his own jurisdiction. A Polk County Sheriff’s deputy was arrested after being accused of an inappropriate relationship with a 16-year-old cadet under his supervision, including allegations of grooming behavior and efforts to conceal communications.
So on one hand, we have a highly publicized operation showcasing mass arrests and zero tolerance messaging. On the other hand, we now get to see what happens when the allegations involve someone wearing the badge inside Sheriff Judd’s own department. Let’s find out if accountability applies equally when it’s not part of a press conference.

More interesting was the arrest of a maga influencer for human trafficking in this operation. Judd actually displayed a photo of the suspect with him together with Donald Trump. However, a lot of people were confused by Judd’s choice of charging, since he was described as seeking the services of a prostitute, which doesn’t strike most people as meriting human trafficking charges. At any rate, the suspect was formerly pardoned by Trump for his involvement in the January 6th attack on the Capitol.
Human Trafficking has a far sinister ring than plain old prostitution. Sickens me how much Judd is knee deep into his own narcissism.
Who?
I’d love to let the skeletons loose from Shady Judd’s closet.
Probably has skeletons like J. Edgar from back in the day…or one can hope.
I made sure to email the byline on the first article with a copy of today’s post and the headline and source from the second article.
Let’s see if their sense of “justice” compels them to follow up.
I can’t wait!!!! Let’s hope good old boy Grady will have zero tolerance. In truth I hope he tries to cover it up and it all blows up in their faces.
The person was probably like a son to him and just cannot see him be embarrassed any further by this mess of being emotionally entangled with the lass.
This ranks up there with educators in FLA who STILL violate their ethics code with their students even after the example set by others before them.
All he cares about are headlines showcasing arrests. When you do a little digging, you’ll find conviction rates are not so headline grabbing. This is all political theater.
Well if that person is not held accountable, We and F.A.C should all contact the news to point out the double standards. But as much as I do not like him, I hope we does the right thing, makes the right decision and treats that deputy the same as any of us who are guilty.
Having said that, the person spoken of, like all of us, deserve a fair trial. But if the allegations are true, that deputy should not get special treatment, or worse, a pass.
