It would have been great if that wreck would have stopped him from being a lobbyist any more. And more thoughts along those same lines.

A lobbyist driving a Lamborghini lol. Wow what an absolute shocker !!!! (Not) of course there is no corruption in state or county government, we should be ashamed at ourselves for implying that there is (haha).
Couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy.

Now is the time for a public DUI offender registry. As is commonly known, DUI offenders are far more likely to actually kill their victims than sex offenders. A registry of DUI offenders would protect the public, including children, from those brazen enough to get behind the wheel of a car while intoxicated.

Such individuals pose a grave and continuing threat to public safety. Prohibiting such offenders from residing or loitering with 1000 feet of any gas station, car dealership or automobile rental company would provide further protections against reoffending, since it would be more difficult for them to purchase gasoline and obtain a vehicle, both of which is a necessary precondition to the offense of DUI.

Surely the courts would agree that such restrictions bear a rational relationship to the compelling government interest of protecting the public from drunk drivers–a group that is actually likely to kill people as a result of their offending behavior.

In 2017, 10,874 people died in drunk driving crashes – one every 48 minutes – and more than 300,000 were injured in drunk driving crashes.

Actually, people who have DUI, following logic of RSO rules, should be required also to not live near schools or playgrounds, since they could harm children. Should people who are drunk and use drunk judgement to drive ever supervise other people’s children? Should a law protect Lauren Book’s children? Shouldn’t Lauren’s children be protected making it illegal for the drunk grandfather to be around children alone since he could use bad judgement and decide to drive children around drunk?

If a DUI registry were ever implemented, then cars should be repossessed, in addition, to other restrictions.
Heck, RSO’s lose their parental rights of the child(ren) if they’re on the registry, right!!!!!

No details on the crash? No one hurt I hope.

IMO, drunk drivers certainly pose a MUCH GREATER risk to children (and others) than registered citizens. I mean, how many kids and others have been killed and/or maimed in Florida by drunk drivers vs Florida registered citizens?
Time for a pink vehicle tag for Ron? You know, just to give everyone on the roads fair warning of the danger he represents to all decent folk! OTOH, that would be forced speech and therefore unconstitutional! So, as good constitution-loving citizens (unlike some others we could name), we’ll have to forego that one!
