Petition to Declare Public Sex Offender Registration in the United States a Violation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR)
Today, approximately one-million people in the United States are forced to register as “sex offenders”. The label leads to stigmatization, separation from society, loss of employment, loss of housing and even exposure to violence at the hands of vigilantes. The stigmatization extends to the spouses, children, family, friends, employer and anyone that associates with the registrant. The isolation, shame, stress, fear of violence, loss of income and other psychological effects are experienced by the entire household.
printed out his mugshot and keeping one in my wallet and going to frame one on my wall.
To bad no registered person lives near by and prints about 3 dozen of his mugshot and charges. Then goes house to house to pass them out, they would be doing a public service to inform the neighborhood of a person who could bring harm to there loved ones.
i wonder if he was with that dunk Miami-Dade County Commissioner Jose “Pepe” Diaz
that the police loved after his arrest
from google:
“After a DUI arrest, Miami-Dade commissioner embraced by police …

Oct 4, 2015 – A swing vote on the 13-member commission and a labor ally, Diaz, 55, has not lacked for support after the arrest that charged him with racing …”
Dear FAC Family,
We need to be careful and not judege untill all of the facts come out and he is found guilty in a court. We must extend the same rights to him as want extended to us. We need not glout in his suffering but welcome him into our world with open arms. The compassion that we show him will be seen by him and this will turn his heart. Like many of us he made a bad choice. I know I will suffer back lash for this but we can not meet those who chastise us with chastisment. I does not help our cause.
I absolutely agree with you Tearful Eagle but this guy is relentless towards us and our families. He has devastated my family and I.
Tearful, you have all the right to your opinion here. But as a registered citizen who has been dealing with Ron Book for 20 years and yes I was living on the street for a short time ( literally, my residence was a side walk on a corner in a bad neighborhood – no roof or anything )
F**k him ! You think he cares for your sympathy and understanding ?? You show that guy just a bit of sympathy and extend your hand to help him and he will still call you a sex monster and tell you to go live under a bridge while slapping your face with hundred dollar bills he made at the expense of the suffering of registrants and their families. Miami commissioner Pepe Diaz got arrested as well for DUI and just shortly after, he made sure that his name was included on the orders for the eviction of registered citizens the last time they had to move sending in the police force with threats of arrests if they don’t. These people can be arrested 100 times for 100 crimes and they will still come after you.
PJ,
Your plight nor the plight if those things in Miami Dade is not lost on me. For a human to treat another human in that way is horible. My only two thoughts are: let him have his day in court and if found guilty his punishment should fit his crime. But to pile on him does nothing to help us. The fight is shine our star the brightest, fund FAC and fight the laws together with logical arguments born from the constitution not out of anger or self righteousness.
In my opening line it was supposed to read “those in Miami dade….”
Its a shame he didn’t hit Rick Scott head on. That would have been an even better story.
Lolololololololol
We must all follow this case! When it comes time for sentencing if that happens), all members of the public are given an opportunity to address the court. This can be done in writing. So all of us should write letters to the judge bring the maximum sentence possible given Mr
. Book’s position that all sex offenders should get the maximum sentence possible.
Great idea…Fac is this doable? Keep us posted
So following the same line of reasoning in the SO laws he wants, he should be precluded from being within 2500 feet from:
Any vehicle, parking lot, or any place where vehicles congregate;
Any commercial or residential building where alcoholic beverages are or may be present, to include but not limited to grocery stores, gas stations, houses with refrigerators, and homeless encampments;
Any media in which the sale of alcoholic beverages is advertised, to include but not limited to television, magazines, all movies that depict alcohol consumption (regardless of extent), and the Internet.
Any and all other persons convicted for any alcohol-related offenses.
In addition, Book would be subject to an undisclosed number of months/years of “treatment”, after which the above restrictions remain in place.
And finally, the words “DUI OFFENDER” will be stamped on his driver’s licence.
