Texarkana, Arkansas, authorizes collection of fees from out-of-state sex offenders
Any sex offenders from outside Arkansas moving to or working in the city will be charged a total fee of $500!!!
Monday, July 21, the Arkansas Board of Directors discussed and approved an ordinance authorizing the city to collect fees for any sex offenders who are out-of-state registrants or out-of-state workers. There will be two separate fees of $250. One will be the required fee when registering with the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department, and the other will be for the required DNA sample.
The fines will only charge new residents of Arkansas and people living outside of the state wanting to work in the state. However, if a person were to move out of the state and then move back, they will be required to pay for the registration fee again.

There are some in Florida who do have registry fees. There are 67 counties in the state of Florida and not a single one has the same rules. Even though there is a set of rules FDLE and/or the legislators (Who ever is in charge) but they also give each sheriff’s offices certain freedoms and sometimes some of the sheriffs just do whatever the Hell they want until a judge stops them. (Some on here know exactly what I am talking about)
Several F.A.C posters in Florida have stated they have to pay a fee at registration. For now, thank God, I do not have any fee, other than my round trip gas to get there and taking up half my day as I stand in line with 100 guys or more. The larger the county’s population, the greater chance of that.
However, it may just be because I go on the very first day of the month to get it over with and am sure that is what the others are doing as well. If you wait until it is not crowded, you might forget to register, or if it is just you, they could treat you bad. I like having 50 witnesses while we register so the officers cannot say we did or said something that we didn’t.
My county does walk ins but I have heard from some that you have to get an appointment to register in certain counties. I use to have to do that where I lived before and it was a 2 hour interrogation. Once off probation I left that county faster than superman.
