U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert’s son faces child exploitation charges

The oldest son of Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., was arrested on charges of sexual exploitation of a child, authorities said Monday.

Tyler Boebert, 21, of New Castle, Colorado, was arrested Sunday on a warrant on “multiple charges,” the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release.

Court records show he was arrested on five felony counts, including three counts of sexual exploitation of a child and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

What goes around comes around. Now she knows what it’s like to feel marginalized, ostracized, and made to live in fear. I don’t have empathy or sympathy towards those who rail against certain people groups only to have one of their own caught up in the very thing said persons choose to rail against.

Now you know, Lauren girl….Now you know!!!!!

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that his case will get dismissed for one reason or another.

What we can all do is contact legislators, mayors, commissioners, and other public officials in Colorado and respectfully ask them to support fair and equal treatment under the law.

This is not about asking for charges to be dropped or for anyone to receive special treatment, as was alleged in situations like the Gaetz matter. It is about asking for something much more basic: due process, transparency, accountability, and a fair trial.

The family deserves justice, and the accused deserves the same constitutional protections afforded to everyone else. We should be asking public officials to ensure that the process is fair, impartial, and based on the fact not politics, public pressure, or preconceived conclusions.

Regardless of anyone’s personal opinion about the allegations, everyone should be able to agree that justice requires a fair process.

If you believe in equal treatment under the law, please take a few minutes to respectfully write your state legislators, local mayor, county commissioners, and other appropriate officials in Colorado. Ask them to support the principles of due process and a fair trial not a particular outcome.

$10k bond for those charges? What a joke, you can bet she had some influence on that, and I bet she’ll influence the case.

I empathize with the family. I hope that maybe this changes Rep. Boebert’s opinions of registrants a bit. I too remember that she suggested that registrants should get the death penalty.

I hope for her son’s sake he’ll never be in an area affected by hurricanes.
His mom was a sponsor of 2025 US Congress House Bill 1205, the “Safe Shelters Act of 2025”, a bill to prohibit certain sex offenders from entering or using the services of certain emergency shelters.
