Petition to Declare Public Sex Offender Registration in the United States a Violation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR)
Today, approximately one-million people in the United States are forced to register as “sex offenders”. The label leads to stigmatization, separation from society, loss of employment, loss of housing and even exposure to violence at the hands of vigilantes. The stigmatization extends to the spouses, children, family, friends, employer and anyone that associates with the registrant. The isolation, shame, stress, fear of violence, loss of income and other psychological effects are experienced by the entire household.

Not good advice. That could get you sued. I hate this man as much as anyone, but I am not going to risk my family or my gmail address by reviewing his dumb a$$ on Google.

“Sex offenders cannot be cured.” That’s not what the facts and stats say. Book is typical of the “alt-facts” BS corrupt system here in Florida. What he never addresses is that he let his kids be abused for all those years because he was out bribing politicians and getting rich in the process. All Lauren’s done is get into the family business from the political camp and that with her daddy issues and his manipulation.
Someone might point out that all the counties without those ridiculous restrictions are not having problems with registered citizens re-offending, which flies in the face of Book’s lies and corrupt hype.
Something just ain’t right about this guy and I have a feeling that there’s an abuse skeleton in his closet. He’s going to prove to be one of those abusers that has hidden behind power and money. A decent investigator might find things that will disgrace him and put him out of business. I bet his neighbors hate his guts.

STILL, no one has started to ask the HARD questions to Book. WHY are you lobbying for all these restrictions, then trying to be the good guy to find people places to live (which you know they cant afford)

Is Nextdoor “advocating” this? Does Nextdoor condone this? I know many of us have had dealings with Nextdoor; Is Nextdoor now a social media site that supports the posting, humiliation and banishment of sex offenders?
Have you heard back from Nextdoor about the “500 law enforcement agencies that require blanket coverage” of all that live, reside with a sex offender?

I just heard a local interview on a radio station here in Kansas City with police officer William Kennedy. He was dealing with the subject of homelessness and what there doing here to solve the problem. I took some notes of some things that are working well here . I think Florida can learn from what he said.
We here in the Midwest care about everyone. We are all people.
There is no restrictions on sex offenders living in homeless shelters.
I have never heard of an incident because of that policy.
There are no restrictions on where they can obtain housing

Just to add they also provide special training and assistance to ex convicts and veterans which many on the sor are.

Really? I just read about kansas being one of the stricts states on S. O. ! There are a lot of stories about how rough kansas is on this subject. So is it true or not?
I was convicted in Kansas but haven’t lived there for over ten yrs. They have progressively changed laws like everyone else. But then , what constituted a sex offender was very vague. So you could be put on the list for just about anything if that was what the prosecution wanted. But for misdemeanor offenses it was for 10yrs. Now 15. They would mail you a form every three months to sign and send back in to confirm your residency. I never had any problem there. But my problem is now I live in Missouri which only has a permanent registry. So even though I was removed in Kansas I’m on the registry in Missouri. If I moved back to Kansas I would no longer be on a registry.
