Florida County to seek first known death penalty for sexual abuse of a minor.
In a first known case since Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed a new law authorizing the death penalty for a sex offense, a Putnam County man will be facing the death penalty for alleged sexual abuse.
The accused, who had a prior (from 2010) sexual assault conviction, is being charged with the sexual assault of two minors in Putnam.

Shouldn’t a Sexual Predators records be unsealed when they commit the same crimes they did as a teen?
What good does that do?
Amen! If we are going to have public-facing databases, then we should have them for all.
D
I had no victim. I made amends to those whom were hurt by the fallout of my actions. But to be punished for life for a mistake is egregious. You should probably get some therapy for your anger and trauma. It sounds like you have never been able to process yours.
As I understand it, children in general have their records sealed so as to allow them the opportunity to have a normal life. It’s not just to protect the agressors, but the victims as well. Public shaming of a sixteen or seventeen year old or younger seems particularily barbaric. Optimistically getting a teenager the mental health care that they need seems more important than shaming.
Thank you, Mr. D!!!!
Everything you said is the truth and perps/predators are playing the victim all the time. It’s just sickening. The victims are the actual victims and need to be protected at all costs. And I completely agree that the lovers of the predators are very sick themselves.
Vanessa, does the registry protect society?
Everytime I ask someone that question they never respond lol
Yes, it does protect society and our minors! Of course it does! Duh!! Imagine how many more crimes pedos would be committing as second and third time offenses if the registry wasn’t there to scare them a little. Also, we the citizens need to absolutely 100% know where each and every pedo lives. It is our civil duty to know it and watch them/report.
Name one case when the registry prevented a crime.
No end
Ask my neighbor down the block
The registry failed to protect anyone in this case lol. So I stand correct.
Vanessa
Shalom..I agree 100%
Let’s not forget that a person’s Childhood sexual abuses towards another child is sealed. So, these same perps keep going about their lives to hurt another child somewhere down the line in life. Hmmmmmm. I say crimes like murder and rape and molestation that happens when the perp is a child should not be sealed from the public. LET’S MAKE IT ALSO VIEWABLE TO ALL.
Why stop there then? I want to see Ronald Lee Book’s ugly mugshot on a criminal database for all the world to see, then make it FIRST on every web browser search. He’s been convicted of a crime, you know.
Everyone who engages in a vigilante action, including the violent January 6th insurrectionists, should be on a public government database.
Amen , Mr D
