Sen. Lauren Book says no child can be kept safe by DCF
Last year, Senator Lauren Book proposed a bill that enabled DCF (Department of Children and Families) to take a child away from their registrant (person required to register as a sex offender) parent. The bill would have created a rebuttable presumption of dangerousness, thereby allowing for the child’s removal and placement in DCF custody while the registrant parent would have to prove he’s not dangerous in order to get his child back.
No allegations of sexual assault against the removed child and it didn’t matter how long ago the registrant committed their crime.
This year, that same senator, in a statement following the death of a toddler in DCF custody is saying, “ I do not have any confidence that other vulnerable individuals across the state can be kept safe by DCF.”
To any registrant with children, last year’s proposed bill was sick and scary. Thankfully it didn’t pass. Now she’s essentially calling the agency charged with removing our children inept!
It’s scary to have a person with such little experience or insight and who is willfully blind to research or expert opinion, in a position of power.

proven numbers show DCF and ps are responsible for 90% of the child trafficking in America..that is where they are threatening to send your children…If you wont fight for your own dignity you better for your family’s security.

I don’t recall FAC mentioning this bill at all. Seems that it should have been some sort of red alert.
it was last year. We discussed it extensively and had a call to action on it.

I really can not express how SICK AND TRIED I am of reading about this utterly useless “public servant” spewing nothing but hate in the name of saving children when we all now (as does she and daddy) that it is nothing but as lie.
If I never heard her name again I would have a perceptual smile on my face. Her professional victim card has been played out…NEXT!
I am in complete agreement maybe those people who got their voting rights back can influence somehow to remove those who are not doing nothing but causing pain to others to be gone
does it seen kind of ironic she flip flops. and another thing did some research say that when a person has been abused that that person becomes the abuser.? maybe we should be looking at Lauren book to see her mindset. this could be her way to act-out and become the bully. I believe this is her way for being abused. I think she could use some help with her past. and stop abusing her power not all rso,s are the same.

I agree. I felt that they are both somewhat at odds in the way they want to do things with Ron taking control. At times I notice that when Ron talks, his daughter keeps quiet. Of course they will never display their disagreements if any in public, but I wonder if they have ever argued these matters in private among themselves – their differences. It almost seems like she wants to take a different approach then the one her father takes. Not for certain, but just a conjecture.
