Administrator Defends Sex Offender Rehabilitation Program on Woodville Highway

TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) — The group behind the sex offender rehabilitation program at Good Samaritan Network on Woodville Highway is speaking out about the program.

Andy Messer, the Administrator for the Good Samaritan Network says that they currently have 16 people living at the Woodville Highway facility. Messer says that Good Samaritan Network has been operating since 2007 and in that time, the program has not had any re-offenders.

The Leon County Sheriff’s Office has received complaints regarding the facility housing registered sex offenders, but the letter states that there are no criminal violations, and that, “…[the Sheriff’s] deputies report that the program appears to be very well run, is providing re-entry jobs to past offenders, and appears to be abiding by strict programmatic supervision and behavior criteria in concert with the DOC.”
