We just received the following notice from a member and wanted to share it with our community. It is always a loss to lose one of our family. Our condolences go out to his family and friends.
I humbly regret to inform you that Frank Lafergola has passed away this past Sunday the 14th. He was one of the St. Lucie county advocates and a dear friend of mine. He will sorely be missed. His program Helping Hands Recovery Program, Inc. was established to help sex offenders and sexual predators to re-enter into society and reestablish their lives. He was due to graduate in August as a licensed and certified addiction specialist, so that he could help those in need of these kinds of services.
God bless you my friend, and God speed.
The Good ones are always taken away from us way too early.
My condolences to his family and friends. R.I.P. Frank.
I am sorry to read this and although I do not know him, I have no doubt that Frank will still guide those he can from the other side as it seems he has given so much on this side.
May his family and friends find comfort in each other during this difficult time.
A donation, although small, is being sent in, in his honor. It is the best way I can think of to honor his work. RIP Frank.
I didnt know Frank but I’m grateful for all his work trying to help people that no one believed in. God Bless you Frank. RIP my brother. Your fight is over.
Rest in peace. thank you for all of your hard work and compasion
It is, always, so sad to see the passing of anyone that steps up and tries to help a community… especially one who takes the time to educate himself in order to properly help those that are struggling in today’s society… but to pass on just before he graduates and becomes a licensed professional makes it even more sad.
I didn’t know him, but my condolences, too, go out to family, friends, and all those that did know him.
God bless, Mr. Lafergola, God bless.
Sincerely,
Luther Swallows
